Although this is a blog focus on groom’s father speech, I decided to write a short article about how to structure and prepare the speech for the groom’s mothers also. Since most of the ideas are the same, especially the ones about structure and presentation, I consider this article to integrate very well in this blog.
In general, mothers are not expected to deliver an oration at their sons’ weddings. But if, according to the wedding protocol in your area (or if your son asks you), you have to offer one of the speeches that form the toast part of the reception that is organized after your son’s wedding, you should know some powerful tips on how to prepare and deliver an exceptional mother of the groom speech, tips that will be presented in the subsequent paragraphs.
The first thing you should do is to organize all the work that you will have to do in order to be able to deliver your oration just like the most successful public speakers. During the first step of the organization process, you have to find out what are the tasks that you will have to prioritize and then organize into a plan, which will also contain the estimated periods for their completion, as well as their deadlines.
